Baby Brother or Baby Sister???

Today I finally got to have my ultrasound. I wait for this day every pregnancy. I love seeing my little babies...it helps remind me that pregnancy really is worth it (especially after the first half where I am sick and feel more fat than pregnant, and can't quite feel it moving yet).
Brynn wants a baby sister SO badly. She says we already have enough boys and we need more girls. Tyler on the other hand says he wants, "another little Tyler". I think he means kinda like this one... ...guess Heavenly Father decided Tyler already had his wish come true with Dylan and now it was Brynn's turn. Yep, we're having a...

And while I am totally excited, PJ is having mixed emotions - everytime Brynn spouts off to us with her attitude or whatnot he always looks at me and questions my desire for another girl. But really we couldn't be happier. And remember my little crisis before we moved...the one where he MADE me handover Brynn's entire wardrobe to friends and family?!?...and I may have lost it a little. Still not sure I'm over that. But guess I get to do some major shopping now ;)
As for names, we struggle. So I told PJ we wouldn't even discuss it this pregnancy until today. Brynn wanted Dylan to be named Trey. She still isn't over the fact that we didn't listen to her. And she apparently thinks Trey is a perfectly fine name for a baby girl also. Just ask her. She'll tell you. I personally am liking Kennedy. But PJ has always loved the name Kate and will probably stick by that one. But we are taking suggestions...

Big Boy Bike

Since the weather has been getting nicer the neighborhood kids, including Brynn, have been out riding their bikes. And poor Tyler has been ever-so-happily running up and down the sidewalk chasing after them. And while its been great exercise, it breaks my heart to see him trying so hard to join in but not being able to because he didn't have a bike of his own. I mentioned this to PJ and guess who showed up from work last night with a big boy bike especially for Tyler?!...

Tyler was SO proud and excited. But surprisingly also a little nervous. He kept looking behind him because he was afraid cars were coming...which meant he wasn't looking where he was going. We are working on that.

But now the rolls have changed. Dylan spent the evening running behind Tyler's bike, happy as could be.

And this morning Tyler was up bright and early ready to go out and ride his new bike. He is currently out back, peddling in circles, making himself dizzy, having a blast!

a beTTer ouTleT

We've been working with Tyler on his tendancies to leave graffiti all over the house. And the other night we informed him he was finally going to clean the T's off of EVERYTHING. He informed me that they were stuck so he didn't need to. I told him I had a magic eraser for him...which he thought was cool...so he went right to work. Thankfully almost all of it came off. Now he seems to have found a better outlet for his T's. Instead of drawing he is sculpting or creating.

A "T" out of his train tracks...perfectly acceptable... He was pretty sure he needed two hotdogs this day because he needed a "T" hotdog for lunch...
One day I couldn't find my phone. And when I located it I opened it up to find a single "T" on the screen...huh...wonder who borrowed my phone without asking?!...

Jack & Brody Visit

Jack and Brody came to visit us this week! And we loved it!...
(Jack, Tyler, Dylan)
...No really, we did. We had a great time with them here!
They brought their Wi for us to play...
We ate yummy snacks that Tyler picked out especially for Jack...
We enjoyed playing outside in the beautiful weather (with friends)...
We had green eggs and 'ham' for St. Patricks day...
We played at the park!

And of course we went to McDonalds...

We even had craft time...
Then we took them to see the planes...
Its always fun when cousins come to play!

18 Month Well Check

Dylan had his 18 month well check at the doctors today.
He weighed 29.3 pounds (75th%)
He measured 33 1/2 inches in length (75th%)
His head was 50 centimeters (90th%)
And he bawled when the doctor even looked at him. He must be going through a phase.
He now has 12 teeth (but it was 11 for the longest time until recently)...he always seems to be lop sided. He is only saying a few words like 'thank you', 'blankie', 'out' and 'down'. We think he has pacifiers hidden around the house because he always seems to appear with one. He LOVES being outside and gets SO mad when I can't go out front and watch him with the big kids. And he tries to do everything Tyler does which gives him plenty of bumps and bruises.

1st Day of Nursery

We've been waiting for this day for about 6 months now...Dylan is now 18 months old and finally got to start attending nursery today at church.
Only it didn't go so well. Daddy dropped him off and after not too long they brought Dylan to me with big crocodile tears and gasping breaths, truck in hand, just wanting to cuddle. Nope, not happening. I marched him back down, waited a few minutes and left him again. But they brought him back, more tears and hugs and yet again we made the walk back down to the nursery. This routine happened several times. Even with the toys and snacks and friends he didn't want to stay. And so I am torn. I don't want to stay in nursery with him - I don't want him thinking that if he cries they will get mommy and she will come. But I know that in order for him to adjust and get used to it he has to spend time there....which apparently he won't do without me present. I haven't had a kid do this before. I'm not loving it. I was so excited about actually hearing my lessons at church today...guess it will be a few more weeks still until that happens...booger boy!

Spring has Sprung

Ok, well really, spring hasn't sprung for reals yet; but we wanted to think so when it randomly hit 70 degrees in all its beauty today. So we played outside...

And then when daddy got home we grabbed some pizza and ran over for a 'picnic' at the park...

It was wonderful.

PreSchool Picture Day

So I didn't really think much of it when Tyler's preschool had picture day last week. School pictures aren't really my favorite thing. And since I had never had any with Brynn I wasn't planning on ordering any of Tyler. But the proofs came in today...

...and I don't know if I can resist ordering pictures of that face!

Quirks

Well we definately knew that Tyler had a major issue we had to deal with. However, when we looked over at dinner the other night and he was busy doing this...

...PJ and I looked at eachother and knew it was becoming more of a serious problem.

So we have a warming trend going on here. Last week it hit the high 40's and eventually even the low 50's. Friday, Brynn came home and announced that she thought summer was FINALLY here. Went upstairs, found her skirt and flip flops and went outside to play for hours. This from a girl who insisted on wearing these shoes to church...
...without tights on a Sunday morning when the weather was busy bringing us this...
...and the roads and parking lots and sidewalks hadn't even been shoveled yet. She is in HEAVEN with the weather right now. Summer can't come soon enough for this little girl from the desert!

I've had an issue with our shower ever since we moved in. It is tiny and so there is no way to escape the water when I need to shave. And the shower head is so far up that by the time the water gets to my height the water droplets are so far and few between it took forever to get the shampoo/conditioner out of my hair. I thought up this shower head that would be perfect...couldn't find it in stores...but finally found it online. I wanted it REALLY bad. Only no one would get it for me for Christmas or anything?!? So I finally had to just get it for myself. And it has changed my life. PJ thinks I'm wierd...but I LOVE IT! It does whatever I want it to. It makes me happy!
