The real reason for our trip to Atlanta was that PJ's brother Brandon was getting married to Miss Ashton Carroll. We couldn't have been happier for the two of them and were so glad that we had the chance to meet and spend time with her this past Christmas. Saturday morning was the big day. Ashton's bridesmaids were sweet enough to watch the kids while we were inside the temple for the sealing.
Yep, that's Tyler with the iPad - kind feels wrong to let the kids have electronics while on the temple grounds but it was a lot of waiting around for them and so sometimes you do what you gotta do!

I love this picture and how Dylan is leaning in to get a better look at what all the excitement is about...
And I love how Tyler squeezed his way up by the pretty bridesmaids. And you should have seen the proud smile on his face when he turned around after Ashton stopped to talk to him for a second :)
Its about time! Laura and I were very ready for some more female influence in this family! Very excited about our new sister-in-law.
We were trying to get a picture of Ashton... or princess Ashton as Kate called her... with all the little girlies. As someone exclaimed, "this is like trying to herd cats!!!" It didn't go so well :) By the time we got a few of them to stop crying and look at the camera Brynn's arms were exhausted because Harper only wanted Brynn to hold her (it was cute, she did that a lot during the weekend).

It sure is tiring though... these two were out cold in seconds, yep, Dylan even past out in the middle of reading his book.
We went back to the hotel to change. Then took the kids to Chick-Fil-A for another late lunch... only it was crowded and there was no play place - ahhhhh! Back at the hotel both of the boys started crying about their stomachs and sure enough both of them began throwing up - aaaahhhhhh!!!!!! Seriously, again. Tyler felt better by the time we needed to get ready to go again. Dylan on the other hand was still not feeling great :{
The reception that evening was lovely! They did an amazing job decorating and throwing a great party.

Brynn was in heaven... there was a lot of dancing...
Oh these two... PJ and his older brother Travis...
According to everyone else - I can't see it because I'm the wife I guess - these two could be twinners. I remember when we were at Travis' wedding, people kept coming up to PJ and congratulating him!? And once in Arizona, PJ was working but Travis came to a Church activity with me and people (plural) that we know and associated with weekly came up to Travis and started talking to him like he was PJ!!?? And people here kept commenting on how much they looked alike. There is definitely a familiar look with all the brothers but these two get it the most.
Tyler entertained himself in his seat for a good chunk of the evening while he quietly constructed with the stuff he found around him...

...sadly he wasn't enjoying the evening as much as everyone else.

Brynn even got asked to dance the last dance by her dad :) the one and only time he made it onto the dance floor.
Then there was the sparkler send off...
...Harper was NOT a fan of this (even though it was totally cool).
And then just like that it was all over. We got back to the hotel late. We all crashed. Then were up the next morning taking people to the airport and heading home. It was too short with not enough time. But the time we did have we made the most of. Congratulations to Brandon and Ashton!
Now we need another reason to get together again...
