And the Kat came back...

...maybe not the very next day, but about 6 months later!  Kat and her girls came back for another visit.  They arrived last Sunday evening and we were very excited.  It happened to be the kids spring break that following week.  And since PJ couldn't get the week off to play with us the next best thing is always friends!!!

Tuesday for playgroup we went to the base bowling alley.  It was a little crazy and chaotic but the kids had fun and sometimes that's all that matters....
On Thursday the base library did an Easter egg hunt.  It was very cute and all of the kids got new books!

We played at a park we had never been to on base before and the kids LOVED the four seater see-saw...

We also had to die eggs...

And you can't have Kat around and not craft!  It was like Christmas morning when she opened her trunk and I saw all the goodies for us to work on :)  We redid my gallery wall and decorated the stairwell.  Kat is like the Pinterest Queen.... she doesn't just Pin stuff, she actually does the stuff she pins!  Please notice the canvases, felt flowers, string art and even plastic spoon mirror...
We made it to the beach several times too.  We tried out this new little spot I discovered and it ended up being awesome because the kids caught so many crabs.  They had a blast with them.

I
An escapee
See the "baby crabs" in his boat?!... He was just taking them for a ride.
It was also the perfect little spot because Kate could hang out on the pier and throw rocks over the side.  She has regressed A LOT when it comes to the beach.  She won't go anywhere near the water again.  Its hit or miss with the sand.  And a couple of weeks ago she stood in an ant hill and got attacked :{  Not a great moment - and ever since she has a hard time walking around outside, freaks out about anything she sees that might even resemble a bug or ant, and its been so fun :[  Kat caught a few of her moments on video:

Lauren had a good time hanging out with Brynn and Brynn had a good time taking care of Lauren.  For reasons that weren't clear Lauren even gave/called Brynn her own special name of "NeeNee"...
After the week Nate flew in Saturday morning to join his family for a few more days.

More of March...

Cyndee Young threw an amazingly great Royal Tea Party for playgroup a few weeks ago.  Kate was in princes heaven - and she really loves to play "kitchen" with water right now so that was a double bonus  - and Dylan quite enjoyed himself as well.
Kate modeling the baseball hat...

 And her new sunglasses...
Then this past week I did an Easter egg hunt for the kids at playgroup.  We had it at the park.  In preparation for it I had gotten our Easter eggs out at home and the older three kids have been having fun teaching Kate how to "do" egg hunts and so she's had many practice rounds.  So she was all ready to go and very excited when there was actually stuff in these ones :)

Tyler got some really fun mail this past week.  David (cousin) had sent him a Flat Stanley from his first grade class.  We were suppose to show Flat Stanley around where we lived and then send a letter back to Davids class telling about Flat Stanleys travels.  We had fun with it and he got to see Tyler's school, the jet planes, the alligator in our yard, and even spend a Saturday afternoon on the beach with us.  So along with the letter we sent sand and shells for the kids in David's class :)
 I just love these two...
... they are bestest of friends.  It melts my heart each day as I see Dylan looking out for Kate and Kate taking care of Dylan.  When we are walking places you will often hear her say, "Dylan.  Hold my hand."  And he walks up and grabs it and they walk and talk.

And here is Kate with her 5 o'clock salute while the anthem is playing...

Not sure which kid took this picture of Brynn but its one of my favorites!...
Dylan is our whinny kid.  And no joke, his mouth never stops making noise.  He doesn't know how to be quiet.  Well, on most Sundays I come home and report to PJ that it is my goal to make it through primary without Dylan crying.  He could definitely work on his behavior/reverence.  But he's been trying a little harder lately (possibly some bribery/positive reinforcement is involved) and it didn't go unnoticed!  He was picked as reverence child this past week.  He has waited SOOOOO long.  And was SOOOO proud and excited...
And in big news... my husband actually invited me to a drug rep dinner.  Is it sad that we've lived here for 8 months and his co-workers were thrilled to hear that I would be getting to come and they would finally get to meet me!!??!
Yep pretty sad.  But it was a lovely evening with my hubby at a very nice restaurant and I finally got the chance to put some faces with some names.

So much has been going on and March isn't even over yet!  Spring break started today and we have company rolling into town in a couple days!  Wahoo!
