Thanksgiving Break

So like I mentioned before, this sweet sister-in-law of mine willingly drove down with her own two children to come and watch mine so I could go on a vacation.  

Julia arrived Friday (the 15th) and the next morning we woke up and went and did our Color Run (previous post).  Then we spent the next couple of days discussing the kids and getting the routine and schedule down.  Tuesday evening when Preston got home from work he and I took off for Orlando.  We got in late that night.  The next morning we slept in :) and then we went to the Temple and out to lunch and did a little shopping - you know, whatever we wanted :) to kill time until we picked up the Warrens at the airport late that afternoon.  The following Monday evening we dropped the Warrens back off at the airport and headed home.  

TJ had flown in to Panama City Saturday morning to help Julia out.  Monday late afternoon Mom & Dad arrived to spend Thanksgiving with the group.  Then we got there later that night.  We only had a few days to all hang out (since Mom & Dad left Friday morning and TJ & Julia left Saturday morning) but we managed to squeeze a few things in.  

 Thursday morning we had a Turkey Bowl with friends...

Within the first 15 minutes of the game Dylan came out crying because he had somehow bonked heads with another boy.  I didn't realize until later on but it must have been a pretty big bonk because he had a nasty black eye for the next week or so...

Gramma & Grampa had also come bearing fun gifts for the kids...

Pretty much everybody was excited to help out with the Thanksgiving meal...

It had been a chilly few days so we hadn't made it to the beach to hang out (although Julia had taken the kids by herself once to play) but Mom actually said she WAS going to go and have a bonfire and Dad agreed it needed to happen.  So Thursday evening we headed down to Mexico Beach for a nice relaxing bonfire...

The kids loved having everyone here for the holiday...

And Friday we took the kids to see the new movie Frozen and to get the Christmas tree!

We are so thankful to have such great family!  Julia was amazing with the kids, they had such a great time with her.  And we could actually relax and have a great time ourselves knowing they were in good mommy hands.
