Utah: Wedding & Reception

Saturday the sealing was at 12pm at the Mt Timpanogos Temple.  Auntie Laurie and Courtney had arrived Friday (it was so wonderful to see them, they are always so supportive) and they were there to sit with the kids at the temple while they waited (along with 2 babysitters Lyndsay brought).   The sealing was beautiful, I really enjoyed the sealer.  And after it was over we waited for them to come out...

And we waited some more... they seemed to take a while.  But they finally emerged!

I love that picture of the boys... it was pretty typical of the week - that's not fighting... that's how much they loved playing with each other - really!

After pictures at the temple we went to Chick-Fil-A for a quick lunch and then we had to get to the Mapleton City Center for more pictures and the reception.
It had been a long day for the kids so we set up a movie for them in a back room. They also had a tv in the main room playing a slide show of their pictures.
The cake and cupcakes...

We had our own little dance party...  TJ does an amazing Carlton dance!
And the night ended with us sending them off with sparklers...
Love how we accidentally got the love birds leaving in the background of our picture...

Utah: Hiking the Y & Shaved Ice...

One morning (Friday to be exact) Preston decided it was a beautiful day to hike the Y.  And surprisingly I was pretty much the only one who had ever done it (and that was something like 15 years ago).  So us Wilsons, the Detros, and the Warrens decided to do it!  Not all of the kids were thrilled by the idea... especially ours, but once we got there they all did amazing.  And Dylan, who was our biggest whiner/complainer on the way there was leading the pack and encouraging others the whole way :)  Its a little bit of a tiring hike but everyone made it to the top...
Poor Kate was scared.  She thought she was going to fall of the side of the mountain - something her brothers may have put in to her head on the drive there :{  Preston literally carried her the entire way up AND down.  And when he did put her down at the top for a few minutes so we could take pictures and rest she wouldn't move an inch and was very nervous.  She told us that people didn't belong on mountains, they belonged in their homes and she wanted to go back to her home on the beach... which is saying a lot since she's spent the last year and a half trying to learn to love the beach - apparently she figured out she like a home on the beach way better than a home on the mountain :)
All of us together at the top on the Y (not our most successful self-timer picture but we wanted everyone in it)!...

Friday afternoon Steven & Kellie had planned a Shaved Ice get together for their family and a few friends at a church building in Mapleton where she is from.  This was perfect timing... as soon as we got off the mountain we headed on over and the kids got to cool down with as many icees as they wanted...
Hahaha! I just think "brain freeze!!!" every time I see that picture of Lucy.
