This years SANDMAN!

I got back from my trip to on Monday night.  Tuesday Preston had to go back to work but the kids had another day off of school.  After being in frigid Utah I was very ready to be back in my beautiful Florida.  So of course we headed to the beach to build a sandman...

We worked very hard as a team piling up sand while dumping water over it and patting it down because we wanted it to be big this year.  I think it turned out wonderfully :)

We worked and played for quite a while.  Then the sun went behind the clouds and the girls got chilly.  So we packed up and headed out and said goodbye to our sandman...

My recruitment trip to Utah

Kinda as my Christmas present Preston agreed to let me make a trip to Utah to hang out with my sisters and meet Miss Peyton.  It didn't take any convincing, everyone wanted me to go, it was like they were sending me on a "let's get Kelly on board with moving to Utah trip."  I flew out Wednesday the 14th and came home Monday the 19th - I only had to have my friends watch my kiddos on Wed, Thurs, Friday after school for a few hours until Preston got home and then Monday was MLK Day so the kids didn't have school and Preston didn't have work.  I think it worked out really well.  

Lyndsay and Katy both picked me up from the airport and we went directly to Cafe Rio for lunch.

Then the next few days consisted of eating out, shopping, and relaxing with the family.  It was fun to get to see and stay at Katy & Clay's new house.  And I brought the kids presents that we had fun playing with (things my kids love: extreme dot to dot books, balloon rockets, paper airplane books).

... I also got to roll around town in Lyndsays new ride... :)  Preston was jealous.  I have caught him and dad looking at them online several times.  AND they introduced me to Swig...

Pretty sure I made sure we went every day so I could try new concoctions!

I made it back to BYU to visit some old co-workers...

And us sisters went to the Temple together... <3

They made sure to drive me around and show me available houses and lots for sale.  We basically switched off houses for getting everyone together for dinner each night...

I had a blast.  I am so grateful that my brother-in-laws were so nice about me disrupting and taking over their lives for a while.  But it was also so great to be back with these crazies of mine...

Holiday Randoms

On the drive home from Indiana we actually split the drive up into two days.  So we got to stay at a hotel and swim.  We also stopped in Montgomery to see our friends, the DeSio's, who had moved.

For Christmas Kate got a Music Box from Grandpa Wilson that she loves...

On the 23rd of December we hosted an Ugly Sweater type Christmas party for our good friends - the Youngs, the Sharps, and the Christensens.  We ate dinner, had a photo booth, played Minute to Win it Holiday games, and did an As Seen On TV gift exchange.  These guys are a riot... :)
