I've said it before and I'll say it again... Dylan always seems older to me than he really is. And today he finally turned 4 for reals. He had a great birthday- the birthday he's been waiting and waiting for. And he woke up bright and early to find that he got the big boy bike like Brynn and Tyler's that he's been waiting and waiting for. Yep, he's wanted one since the spring. And I think it should be noted that it took a lot of self control for me to wait until now to get and give him one. So he and I were both excited :)
And he got to have an Optimus Prime pancake for breakfast...
And after presents, and breakfast, and dropping the kids off at the bus stop, we spent a good part of the morning practicing to ride the new bike... and now Kate wants one :{
And we even rode to the mailbox where he hit the jackpot...
And part of that jackpot included a little loot. And so he proudly took his loot and we went to WalMart where he got to pick out any toy he wanted...
...and he picked out a Bumblebee remote thingy that he and Tyler have been eyeing on the computer.
And the afternoon consisted of more bike practice for Dylan and the older two trying to learn how to ride and do tricks on Dylans new scooter...
And after an evening walk - yes, another bike ride for Dylan - and playtime at the park, we had Dylans requested donut "cake"...
It was a happy birthday for our favorite four year old :) We sure do love him lots!
***He didn't really have a 4 year well check this year. But he went in and had a school physical the same time Brynn and Tyler did in August since I wasn't sure what the deal with preschool would end up being. And at that appointment he weighed 39.6 lbs and measured 42 inches in length (both probably around the 90th%)
