The end of another school year...

These were a few tings we did for Teacher Appreciation week in May.  I just sent the kids in with one little thing each day that week.  We had fun with it.

Brynn got an award for being the 5th fasted 5th grader at Tyndall Elementary for the 1 mile run!!!...

Brynn was also in the 5th Grade Play...
We went to the night performance.  The 5th Graders then performed the play 2 times the next day for the rest of the school.  Sadly, I got a call from the school that afternoon saying that Brynn was in the health room because she fainted on stage during the play.  She tried to brush it off saying lots of kids got dizzy and fell because it was SO hot on stage.  Which maybe they did.  But Tyler confirmed that Brynn actually passed out/fell in the middle of the performance and had to be helped off the stage by teachers.  Poor girl.

All three kids placed in the Top 3 in their classes for First in Math.  Most Valuable Players!

Kate and I got to go cheer the older three on during their different Field Days...

Brynn's 5th Grade Recognition Ceremony was during school.  Preston was actually able to make it (which is a miracle), although he was called in and had to leave at the end.  She got Year Long A/B Honor Roll Achievement Award, Presidential Academic Award, Student Council Award, and Promotion.

The school was not very nice and schedule the 5th grade ceremony at the same time as the Pre-K celebration.  So I missed Kate's :( That made me SO sad.  I showed up right at the end when they were finishing their treats.

Then at the 3rd Grade award ceremony I was surprised when Tyler got an extra special award.  Each of the 3rd grade teachers decided to pick one student from their class to receive a Citizenship Award.  And Mrs Whiting chose Tyler!!  She explained that he has always been her right hand man.  I noticed awhile ago that she often referred to him as "BH" and I didn't know why.  She said that Tyler was always aware and willing to do whatever she needed and he always did it with a smile on his face.  So that was their secret term they used between the two of them - because he was her Biggest Helper.

That was a crazy busy couple of weeks.  And now today was the last day of school!!!!
Schools out let the summer fun begin!!!!

Boating with the Youngs

One of my favorite things... renting a Pontoon boat from the Marina on Base and hanging out on the water with friends for basically all of Saturday.  And it was just what I needed after last week got all up and crazy on me.
We parked ourselves at Shell Island and collected Hermit Crabs, jumped off the pier, and headed over to the Gulf side to play in the gorgeous water...
Blake thought he was dying when he cut his foot open on the pier...  good thing his buddy Dr Preston was available to handle the wound/situation.
Oh, not just crabs... starfish too...
Climbing the sand dunes...
It never gets old watching the dolphins play around the boat...
Dylan may or may not have gotten thrown overboard...
You'd think we wore them out or something?!... They look upset but they loved every minute of it and tired themselves out.  The boat, with the wind blowing and waves rocking, is the perfect place for a nap.
