Gulf World Dolphin Day Camp

I mentioned on Brynn's birthday that Grandma Eccles surprised her with a gift to go to Dolphin Day Camp at Gulf World Marine Park.  Well, exactly a month later Tyler received the same exciting surprise on his birthday!  He was pretty pumped because he was maybe a little jealous when he heard what Brynn was going to get to go to.  And since you have to be seven to attend he just barely made the cut off!!!

Well Thursday, August 8th was their big day!  It killed me that I couldn't stay and follow them around as their paparazzi because I knew they'd be doing cool things.  And it killed Kate & Dylan that they didn't get to stay and play.  So after Kate, Dylan & I spent a majority of the day at Pier Park shopping and eating lunch and running errands, we snuck back into Gulf World to say Hi to the turtles and sharks and catch a dolphin show.  And while we were hanging out we caught a glimpse of the other two having a grand old time :) 

After we collected everyone back together, and we were headed home after a long day, I heard all about their day and it REALLY killed me that I couldn't be there with them.  They had so much fun doing crafts and eating lunch and learning about all the different animals.  I would have loved to have been there when Brynn finally got to go behind the scenes at dolphin stadium and touch the bottle-nose AND rough-toothed dolphins.  SHE GOT TO TOUCH HER DOLPHINS!  Or to watch Tyler bravely feeling Aussie the Bearded Dragon, or the huge boa snake, or the sea lion.  Ahhhh.... man!!!  But they did provide us with at least one picture:

So thankful my kids could have that hands on educational experience!  And so happy I could have fun with these munchkins...
