Like I said, no one was so sick that we couldn't get out and play :) And with that many people under one roof - while I wouldn't have it any other way - it is important to get out.
First we decided to go swimming at the YMCA. Very fun and we've missed swimming - our pools in Florida are all outdoors and so they've been closed. The coldness to and from the pool added an element of fun when went though ;)

Then we learned of a new place called Bugs Gymnastics that does an open play time. We were all over that. It was an awesome place and the adults had just as much fun as the kids! The big boys all showed off their rope climbing skills.
And Preston had fun swinging into the pit. Until he realized he had lost his phone in it. Then we became a nuisance as we basically had to empty the pit to find it. Embarrassing I tell ya.
We also had some handstand contests. I was very proud of Julia for winning :)
I was also proud of my husband who hasn't been able to do a handstand to save his life - they may have even scared him a little. But with the proper area to practice he perfected his, uh, technique. And he finally got it down! Great example for our kids of what a little hard work can do :)
Of course we had to hit McDonald's on the way home from all that physical exersion...
The Mom was the inspiration behind all this craziness because she actually needed/wanted something removed from her ear that was bothering her. Both patients were very brave and trusting and have healed quite nicely. And the rest of the household was very interested in what was going on. Made for an exciting and educational afternoon.
After several days of pleasant weather it actually SNOWED!!! My kids were thrilled! That's what they were really really really hoping would happen. And I remembered how much I disliked the cold yucky weather. My kids would tell you they loved it. But really, they didn't last long at all outside. But I'm glad they could experience it once again.
Maybe, had they been better snow gear equipped, it would have been more tolerable and they would have lasted more than 10 minutes at a time.
We couldn't forget to go play at Jump 'N Joey's! There was a mandatory 45 minute jump time requirement before they got tokens to go play on the games (set by the parents)...
And The Wonder Lab... Kate was super sad that Gramma wasn't feeling well and couldn't go play with her.

More snow fun...
Brynn and Jack definitely always lasted longer than the other kids out in the cold. And one evening they were so excited to show us their Olaf the Snowman they built. We smiled... he was certainly little, but very cute :)
Sadly the holiday break had to come to an end. And we went from this... to this...
Saturday afternoon (the 4th) we started for home after lunch. After staying the night in Montgomery we arrived at home sweet home Sunday afternoon to a beautiful 65 degrees. I'd much rather live at the beach and vacation to the cold snow!!
