Thanksgiving Guests and Holiday

So Julia spent Friday night to Sunday night with our kiddos - yep 9 whole days!  Our cruise docked on Sunday morning and we got in the car and drove straight home.  We arrived Sunday evening just a few minutes after Dad & Mom & TJ had also arrived.  Everyone was coming to stay and spend Thanksgiving week with us.  So the fun for us didn't have to end :)

We went bowling...

Brynn was having a boredom problem the following afternoon.  I eventually told her that if she couldn't find something to do that I would help her.  Well, I ended up needing to help her.  And I needed help.  So I asked her to come help me unload/pack my suitcases.  But she was having a few attitude problems with that.  So as a "punishment" she was sent to her room to write an essay on why you should respect your parents.  The first piece of paper that was thrown at me was barely legible.  So I sent her back upstairs to try again.  This time I was handed this...
...apparently she was feeling a little resentful.  Hmmm... but Dad said it was a well written essay, and that she had made some valid points so... whatever.

Steven & Kellie joined us on Wednesday - which also happened to be Steven's birthday.  Steven had told me that he wanted a birthday party.  So I picked the theme - The Big Bang Theory!  I got Preston the first 6 seasons of that TV show on DVD for his birthday.  As we finish watching a season we mail it on to Steven & Kellie to watch.  Then once they have watched it they mail it on to Clay & Katy to watch.  Its been fun.  So I may have had to buy a life sized cut out of the cast/characters to join us :) And we all wore appropriate t-shirts...
TJ helped out with the cake design.  I decorated with nerdy stuff.  We had a Big Bang Theory Trivia game and Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock game to play (among others).  And of course we had to have take-out for dinner!!!

I really wanted to get one of these pillows for Kate too - she has her spots on the couch, at the table, in the car, in primary, etc and you don't mess with them, they are hers.  Everyone knows that.

The next morning was the Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl with our friends from the Branch...
Steven had an unfortunate run in with the ground and an insane amount of "pokies" (aka Sand Spurs)... it required tweezers and a long removal time and he had a rash for a few days after.
Then everyone had their jobs to help get ready for our Thanksgiving meal...

We also made some slime after we relaxed for a while...
 Good times!

Love the cut outs. And the cake looked awesome! I'm glad your mom is allowing herself to be in some thanksgiving pictures now:). Looks like your family is getting in all the Florida time they can before summer!

Yes, I was wondering if mom approved those pictures or if she doesn't know....

So is Kate's hair getting less curly or had it just been straightened in most of these pictures????

And, um, how does one get in on this Big Bang Theory action. Am I just too old???? =(

Oh, and what's with the puzzle???? I got so much crude about the puzzles in Florida and now everyone just does puzzles?!

LOVED the Brynn/Teej duet.

You got some great pictures.
