Relay for Life

The Tyndall Officers Spouses Club was asked to do a booth at this years Relay for Life Event.  And so I got involved with that.
The Tyndall Elementary 5th grade student council also put together a booth and was asked to do the opening flag ceremony, and so Brynn was involved with that.
I originally planned for her and I to stay most of the night - the "walk" went from 6pm to 6am - but then Preston ended up being out of town.  So since I had all the kids with me I knew that wouldn't work.  But they actually lasted a lot longer then I thought and we all had a wonderful Friday evening there together.
ANNDDD... I got to teach Brynn a little bit about the 80's because that was the theme.  She didn't understand why our hair was so high and off to the side or why our eye make up was so electric blue... in fact she may have wiped it off because she was too embarrassed.  But she ended up learning a little bit about the style back in my day and maybe appreciating some of it by the end of the night ;)

Tyler "walked" into his teacher, Ms Whiting, and she was so proud of him that she was sweet and bought him and his siblings ice cream sundaes from one of the booths :)
As for Preston... I mentioned he was out of town.  He had the opportunity to go on an overnight boys getaway with Steve, Cade, & Blake Young over to Jacksonville Florida.  They went and watched The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass.  So much fun for them!

Preston got back in to town very late last night.  Today was Mothers Day.  If I were to be honest I would say it was kinda lame... just another Sunday, but hey, they can't all be amazing.
Preston, as the Elders Quorum President, decided to forgo giving the traditional flowers to the women after Sacrament Meeting.  I may have been a little birdie in his ear saying that thats lame - the kids grab them and they are dead and petal-less by 2nd hour.  So he decided to give everyone a pair of homemade sanddollar earrings instead.  He had a great vision.  A great vision that I carried out to perfection ;)  Everyone appreciated them.  Dang I always make him look so good!
