Spoiled at Seven!

Brynn had her 7th birthday today. We started celebrating a day early by having her 7 year well check yesterday ;) Her height was 50 inches which is the 82nd percentile. Her weight was 58 pounds which puts her in the 80th percentile. And she was more than pleased to discover she didn't need shots until she turns 11 (other than flu of course).
Then last night I had to go to a girls birthday dinner for my friend so PJ was left with the responsibility to decorate for Brynn. And he did a great job. Sadly he didn't need me and my expertise. So her birthday outfit was ready and waiting outside her bedroom door for her...

And her doll crib was carefully placed on the dining room table and beautiful draped with baby blankets. ***Different story and post to come on the crib made by PJ and the boys for Brynns birthday present***
Now, remember how I mentioned Brynn is emotionally scarred from the midwest storms we've been having??!!? Well around 11pm last night we had a doozie of a storm roll in. It was pretty bad (no tornado sirens though - at least not that I could hear over the pounding rain and hail and huricane like winds). And so everyone was up, except Kate, when it turned Brynn's birthday at midnight. So Tyler presented her with the crib, her first present - notice the clock in the background. Yep, that's 12:19AM. Fun night. And yes we all know my kids -they were still up bright and early a few hours later.
Brynn decided months ago what she wanted to do for her 7th birthday. She wanted to take her friends to get their nails done and eat at Red Robin. She came to understand that that would mean cutting down her invite list drastically, which she didn't want to do, but she really wanted to do this party so she did it anyway.
I knew Brynn would be anxious for her party to start. And I didn't really want to hear about it all day long. So her party started at 9:30am. Genius planning on my part :) I know.
And since I would be spending the morning taking some little ladies out on the town I knew they would need the proper equipment. So I got them some purses and loaded them up with a few necessities (oh and since her brothers wouldn't be coming Brynn put together a few special things in a bag to give to them)...

Refreshment, snacks, chapstick, notepad and pen, lotion, headband, brush/mirror combo, wallet with money (Brynn's Birthday Bucks and bubblegum coins)

Our first stop was Kiddos Closet and Clips...
(Brooklyn Shumway, Haven Ortiz, Brynn, Ashlynn Hughes)
They all tried out the new 'crackled' look on their fingernails and everyone took separate approaches on their toes. Then they each got to pick out their own hair accessory and they had a blast shopping around and deciding what they wanted.

Next stop was lunch...
My daughter, she likes hamburgers, and you'd think that's why she choose Red Robin. But nope, she loves their Freckled Lemonade. And she ordered macaroni and cheese of all things.

And after lunch the girls were all pampered and pretty and either dropped off or picked up and Brynn was a very happy birthday girl.
That afternoon we had a little down time and then opened her presents from family.

And then she requested mashed potatoes for dinner. Sooo... we went to Texas Roadhouse...

She even wondered if they were going to sing to her.

And yes, believe it or not, she actually got up on their saddle in front of everyone...

Then we headed over to Toys R Us so she could decide what to do with all her birthday money. And after a lot of browsing, and a little guidance, she decided on a Karaoke machine of all things :) Missed pictures of that shopping trip and the fun once we got home but I'm sure there will be some to come. Her favorite thing to do with her friends is to turn on the TV to a Kidz Only station and dance to their hearts content. So how fun that they now have a microphone to sing along and see themselves dance right up there on our big screen.
And then finally, we ended her blissful day with cake...

Yep, you could say our girl was simply spoiled and as always, sassy, especially at seven.

What a perfect day for a birthday girl! :]

It's going to kill me to say this, but Peej did alright with his decorating! I'm a little bit impressed.

Oh, and I love the way you lined up those three water bottles so we could read what they said. Nice touch, Keddy!
