Biceps and Bikes

Tyler decided he needed to start exercising with dad because he wanted to get better at the mile run at school and get to the top of the rope at gymnastics.  Good goals.  And he was very insistent about it.  So they worked out together.

The Community Center and Security Forces put together a Bike Rodeo.  They went over bike and helmet safety, taught the kids hand signals, and put them through obstacle courses.

At the end they had several bikes to raffle off.  Pretty much all of our kids have outgrown their bikes and need new ones so I kept my fingers crossed... and thankfully Tyler won one!!!

Since Tyler had a new bigger bike we were able to move Dylan up to Tyler's old one.  Then Kate got to move up to her first big girl bike... only it was Dylans old one so it was Spider Man.  But she could have cared less and was so excited and proud.

So we went to WalMart and let her pick out her very own helmet.  She knew exactly which one she wanted and her minded couldn't be changed :)

That bike rodeo was cute! And cool that Tyler won!

I'm thinking they should have gone over wearing shoes when you ride a bike, too. But that's okay.

So I have to know, did Tyler make it to the top of the rope?????
