The Beach... Baby!

We got to the beach house in the evening on Saturday, July 9th and left in the morning of Saturday, July 16th. Out of the six days we were there, we spent three (every other day) at the beach...

The kids loved every minute of it. They just frolicked around and self entertained for hours and never wanted to leave when we told them it was time to head back...

And of course so did the big kids...

This was Kate's first trip to the beach. And right at first she was a little unsure of the sandy stuff. But it didn't take more than a few minutes for her to relax and love it and the water.

Our beach house was located closer to the sound side. And so the beach was a mere 10 minute walk away; but since that short walk included crossing a road and hauling lots of gear plus kids we drove 30 seconds and just had to cross the sand dune to set up camp. I brought lots of sand toys and fun, and we had plenty of beach gear to haul but it was well worth it! Probably our favorite part of the vacation was just being on that beach...
