Helment Head

We are finally good parents. After going on a Sunday stroll/bike ride with Brynn the other week we decided she needed a helmet. We haven't really had any problems before (not that we should wait for one to force us to make the purchase) but this time I think she crashed into the rocks/bushes about 3 or 4 times because she was trying to smell flowers or look at lizards and just couldn't seem to pay attention.
So she is now the proud owner of a helmet. I happened to pinch her neck with the clasp while trying it on in the store and she got really mad and I didn't think she was going to wear it. My bad!? But she is doing quite well. Probably should have just gotten Tyler one too...hmm...not sure why we didn't think of that one?!

your dad's wondering why you didn't think of getting tyler one, too... loved your description of wynnie getting sidetracked on her bike rides. :} do YOU wear a helmet?!?

umm NO mom I do not wear a helmet. i'm a pretty safe walker and can handle the occassional distractions. i never have and never will like bikes. i guess to help dad understand....i probably didn't think of Tyler because he doesn't actually ride a bike yet. but i'll work on that - strollers can be dangerous too.

of course, you DO picture tyler on a trike, so that was misleading. and yeah, after i made that comment about you, it occurred to me that you are probably on foot... but since you're not all that athletic..........

Mom, does make a good point. Like mother like daughter. =) It must be a family thing b/c I'm not a big bike rider, either. Wonder who's fault that is. =)

i don't get it -- when did i ever say that i don't like bikes? actually, i spent a lot of time on a bike when i was at CU in Boulder. and that should be a wake-up call because i hardly weighed anything back then...
