Last Weekend Randoms

Saturday morning, before her baptism, Brynn got to wake up and open some sweet and thoughtful baptism gifts from Aunt Lyndsay, Gramma Peper, and Kara.
Since I had so many out-of-town mouths to feed anyway, I decided to just do a lunch after the baptism, right there at the church.  My generous and talented friend, Kat Olsen, had offered to do the cupcakes for it.  I requested they be the multicolored rainbow cupcakes but she went all out!!!

Its so fun to have a theme ;)

Other random pictures from Saturday morning...

Brynn with the Shumway Family
The Olsen Girls

Andy & Macy Shumway, Lydia Adams, Brynn, Brooklyn Shumway, Gracie & Henry Adams
Brynn with the Hartman Clan
Brynn with the Thomas Family who sang a beautiful song!

It was all too much for Dylan... He was already worn out before we even got to Saturday so he crashed after eating ;)

The kids were spoiled by gifts from all of their grandparents and the love was spread throughout the weekend...

Kate loves "puPEEs" and she was so adorable and hillarious when she got this FurReal Pet one from Grandpa Wilson & Coleda...

Ha!  At one point Kate got herself wedged in between the couch and recliner and needed to be saved :)

And then Saturday night, after PJ had dropped his Dad off at the hotel on Base, he headed home and  pulled through our neighborhood gate when all of a sudden he had the window of his truck shot out (?!?).  So he came home and called the police.  While we were outside waiting for them to arrive, and cleaning up the huge mess, we heard noises out in the area behind our house.  So PJ went to check things out and found two kids (a brother and sister probably around the age of 12) with a BB Gun messing around.  He took them home and had them explain to their parents what they were doing.  He got everything straightened out with the parents, and when the police finally arrived we explained we had worked it all out.  And our temporary white trash truck has already been fixed so no worries.

Then Sunday afternoon, when my parents and Steven left, they took our kids with them back to Indiana.  PJ has spent the week out-processing and I have spent the week packing and packing and doing more packing.  My parents are lifesavers - I would have never gotten this all done with the kids around and I'm extra glad they could spend some more time with them before we have to move away ;(

Brynn's Baptism

Genesis 9:13-16  I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and [thee]...  And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant.
