Yesterday was our 10th Anniversary. It is a milestone that we would really like to celebrate in a bigger way, eventually. But for now, yesterday was also Brynn's eighth birthday...
She started out bright and early, finding her traditional birthday outfit/gift waiting outside her decorated door when she woke up. We did a few presents that included her personalized scriptures and case etc. And then we rushed off to work, the Y, and the last hour and a half of school.
Then we gathered up a 'few' of our friends and hit McDonalds for lunch and ice cream...
She even got some more presents there from her thoughtful friends. One in particular was a Brave 'barbie' doll. Chablis insists that every time she sees the movie trailer for Brave she can't help but think of Brynn :) so the gift from her was rather fitting!
That evening Kara took the younger three so we could take Brynn out to dinner to celebrate. We hit Texas Roadhouse so Brynn could have some yummy mashed potatoes.
Then we headed to Walmart armed with her birthday money so she could finally get a new bike and scooter - she's outgrown her others and has been patiently waiting to get ones her size.
This was the jumpstart she needed ;) Now she's looking forward to her birthday party this Saturday and baptism the following Saturday! Exciting times!

Love her (best color combination ever) pink and gray outfit. She's lost that little girl look. =]
Just as a side note, those "secret" letter combos that we have to re-type below in order to post our comments are getting *really* hard to read. Can't you drop them? DeeDee did.
So, Summer has chosen Texas Roadhouse for her birthday dinner as well. She keeps saying, "I love it because of the buns. I love their buns." Ha, ha. I just told her that Brynn chose that for her birthday meal as well and she said, "See, everyone loves their buns."
Happy Anniversary! You should have brought the kids over so I could watch them for you like you did for us on our 10 year anniversary.
Congrats on your 10 year anniversary!!!!
Looks like she had a great day. I had to say "Wow!" when I saw the ice cream picture. I knew it wasn't just a few friends when you said "few", but that ice cream picture cracked me up.
Happy birthday Brynn!!
